Setting Up Your Hosting with GoDaddy if You're Using a Root Domain (www)

If you're using a root domain (like "www.yourdomain.com") you might want to set up the naked domain. Visitors who don't add the "www" will still be directed to your landing pages. To do that, you'll need to set up an A Record in GoDaddy:

  1. Make sure you've completed Steps in the previous article

  2. Log in to your GoDaddy Account

  3. Click Launch, for your Domains

  4. Click the drop down arrow next the domain you want to use with Wishpond

  5. Click Manage DNS

  6. Click Add Record, on the left

  7. Select A (Host) from Record type

  8. Enter the Host name:

  • Host is the domain to which the A Record applies

  • Enter you root domain without the "www" - e.g. "mysite.com"

  • Enter 54.84.104.245 for Points to

  • Click Finish in the Add Zone Record window

  • Click Save Changes
